Ashlar Walling is smooth with even faces and square edges. Often used in commercial developments and new build projects throughout the British Isles. While natural stone Ashlar walling is usually 75mm and 100mm bed width, as always Black Mountain Quarries are happy to cut any sizes you require.
Generally we can cut the Ashlar to the regular coursed building stone heights of 140mm and 215mm with random lengths, but they can be cut to any height and length required.
Whether they are provided in Callow sandstone, York Stone or De Lank granite, the ashlar will be sawn on six sides and creates a more formal, rectangular-shaped stone that works well on larger surface areas.
Callow red sandstone ashlar natural stone cladding is cut from our Callow Quarry on the Herefordshire-Monmouthshire border. It is a high quality sandstone in a traditional red colour that reflects the local architecture of historic buildings across Herefordshire, Monmouthshire and Cheshire, Somerset and Dorset. As such it is a good choice for new commercial building projects that want to support the cultural heritage of these regions.
Our silver-grey granite ashlar panels are cut from our De Lank Quarry near Bodmin in Cornwall. Renowned for its quality and durability, De Lank silver-grey granite is a popular choice throughout the UK for natural stone cladding of both public and commercial buildings.
