Coursed Tumbled Building Stone – Buff Sandstone

Our coursed tumbled buff sandstone is a British stone that’s similar in colour Cotswold stone. Cropped to fixed heights, coursed building stone makes for an easier and faster build. Putting this sandstone through the tumbling process softens its faces and edges, giving it a rounder, weathered appearance.

Our buff sandstone coursed building and walling stone comes in three finishes – split face, pitched faced and tumbled. This is a neutral building stone that is particularly popular for new builds in parts of the UK where the local stone is of a bright and warm cream/buff colour, for instance the Cotswolds and surrounding areas.

The tumbled coursed building stone is supplied with a split face and is tumbled to soften the edges, creating a classic time worn effect whilst retaining the coursed uniform appearance.

Coursed building stone has a more contemporary look than traditional rubble stone. It makes it a good choice for an extension or outbuildings where the new building needs to complement the historic stonework of the original structure.
