We can supply monoliths in either a red sandstone or a silver / grey granite. Which ever you decide upon, they are completely natural on all sides and each one will be unique in shape and size.
Our Callow red sandstone monoliths are found in our own quarry on the Herefordshire and Monmouthshire border. The silver / grey granite is from our De Lank Quarry in Cornwall near Bodmin.
Please give the office a ring to order a monolith. We will require the 3 dimensions you are hoping for; we are not promising we will find it exactly, but we will find a few that are close to your requirements. We can send photos and dimensions with costs once we have some for you to choose from. You are welcome to visit the quarry or our show room by arrangement if you would rather see them in the flesh. Each monolith is priced individually.
Delivery can be arranged with unloading facilities available on the lorry up to 2.5 tonne. Any larger monoliths will require you to arrange a telehandler to offload at the delivery point. If you would like them put in situ when being delivered, you need to consider a few points:
- Access to the location needs to be large enough for a suitable sized lorry (ie either 7.5 tonne or 15 tonne or artic lorry).
- Ground needs to be firm enough to support the lorry; we really do not want the lorry to be stuck in wet ground or disappoint you by being unable to deliver where you require.
- The lorry will need to be very close to the point where you would like the monolith placing; the hiab has reach but the further from the delivery point means the less weight it can maneouvre.
- Placing the monolith in situ needs to be booked when ordering the stone and the delivery.
Our quarries have hundreds of tonnes of stone, but finding good looking, appealing monoliths takes time and patience; they are found naturally whilst digging for our block stone. Please allow several weeks for an appropriate monolith to be found for you.
