Traditional facing stone in a rubble build style, for exterior natural stone walling. Irregular shaped stones of random shape and size.

Rubble facing stone is cropped in a rough-hewn style; it is non-coursed and requires the skills of a stone mason. We crop it to a bed width of 100-150mm (4-6inch) with at least one usable face. Our natural sandstone facing stone is suitable for all exterior building and walling applications, and all have matching quoins available.

  • Can you use the facing stone as a double skinned wall?

    We don’t recommend this, most of our stones have one useable cropped face and we recommend a backing to support the stone.

  • How will my facing stone arrive?

    All our facing stone gets put into our bulk bags. Our bags are around 850mm x 850mm x 850mm and approx. hold around 900kg.
