Just over a month ago Parish Priest, Monsignor Bernard Massey, came to visit us at Black Mountain Quarries. He was on the hunt for a piece of stone to mark a very special place in his church grounds.
“Having recently opened a Memorial Garden for the burial of ashes I decided that I needed something suitable and dignified to designate the area”
After choosing a piece of the local Callow stone we then commissioned a local stone carver to come to us to complete the engraving.
This week we delivered the finished piece to Bristol. Our driver Wes and Monsignor Massey installed the piece safely to its new home.
“My parishioner have commented on how good it looks and those who have relative’s ashes buried at the garden are delighted with the dignified effect it has had to the entrance area.”
We are very honoured here at Black Mountain Quarries to have a piece of our humble local stone marking such an important spot for many families. We are also over-the-moon that Monsignor Massey was so pleased with the finished piece and the service provided.
“Several helpful members of staff assisted me in finding a suitable boulder that could be inscribed for the entrance to the Memorial Garden. I was happy with the price and the speed of delivery.”
