Random Stone Cladding Slips

15-30mm thickness

Random Stone Cladding Slips are cut from traditional facing stone to a thickness of 15-30mm, retaining the authentic stone face in the random build style.

Random build style consists of largely square-edged stones of varying heights and lengths, with some irregular pieces for character. Our stone cladding slips are available in real sandstone, limestone and slate in a wide range of colours. Slim enough for interior and exterior use, our real stone cladding creates the appearance of a solid natural stone wall. L-shaped corners available for exterior walling; we also supply approved adhesive.

Frequently asked questions

  • Do the cladding slips come on a board?

No, the cladding slips are individual pieces of a stone, just like a tile. This allows you to use the cladding slips and build your wall to look just like a full thickness traditional building stone would. By keeping these as individual pieces of stone this avoids any horizontal or vertical lines which cladding panels create.

  • I have a stone I want to match but don’t know what it is?

Don’t worry, there are many different types of stones out there, we are still learning ourselves. If you have any images of the stone you are trying to match, we’d be happy to look ourselves and give you the best advice. Just send the images to us via email and we will get back you ASAP.

  • How are stone slips installed?

The installation process entails applying adhesive or mortar to the stone slips’ back and affixing them to your chosen surface. To ensure a strong and long-lasting installation, it’s crucial to adhere to the manufacturer’s installation guidelines. Our cladding slips installation is similar to tiling, where each piece is applied individually, and spacers are used for precise grouting. Achieving a traditional stone finish has never been easier.
